Quantum Glove
ManusMotion CaptureVR
The Quantum Metaglove is a new glove that measures fingertip position and rotation using an electromagnetic field, rather than relying on flex sensors and IMUs to measure finger flexion. This technology offers many advantages, such as eliminating drift, enabling accurate pinching, and determining hand size. However, it also introduces new challenges. Since only the fingertip position is measured, the rest of the hand's position must be estimated, requiring detailed hand measurements. To simplify the user experience and reduce error, a three-step calibration process was developed to automatically measure the user's hand, eliminating the need for manual calibration.
